Athletesbnb is a result of a sports parent's journey through...

The dilemma

All athletes and sports parents often face the same dilemma. A tournament in another city. A search for a place that feels safe, close enough, and affordable. And the quiet trade-off every sports parent makes - if we save here, we can invest more back into the sport.

The realization

Over time, one thing becomes clear. At almost every tournament, there are plenty of local athletes and families. Parents help instinctively - sharing contacts, food tips, training routines - even hosting athletes they already know. Look closely and you realise that there is enough capacity within the athlete community itself to host all travelling athletes.

The hesitation

So why doesn't this happen more often? Not because families don't want to help but because hosting someone unfamiliar raises real questions around safety, comfort, and responsibility. Add to that the common perception that hosting requires spare rooms or hotel-like setups, and most families hesitate.

Building the solution

Athletesbnb exists to change that. It was designed to make something athletes and parents already do feel safe, normal and reliable. By bringing together verified athletes and athlete families, enabling communication before hosting and using a simple pay-it-forward system, Athletesbnb helps families dispel the hesitation and support each other with confidence.

Performance over luxury

And hosting doesn't need a fancy hotel like set-up. If your home is good enough for your athlete, then it is good enough to host another - because what athletes really need isn't luxury. They need care, understanding, rest and routines that allow them to perform at their best and the ability to save on stay and reinvest that money back into the sport.
